Tall Fescue with bluegrass provides a leaf that is dark green in color with
medium leaf texture, this mixture is deep rooted and will perform well in full
sun to moderate shade conditions. With good wear tolerance, Tall Fescue with
bluegrass is well suited for active family use.
Maintenance Tips
Mowing:
Tall Fescue with Bluegrass should be mowed at 1.5 - 3 inch.
Mow at higher setting during summer months.
Watering:
During prolonged summer dry periods, best maintained with deep,
infrequent irrigation to encourage a deep, healthy root system.
Fertilization:
Fertilize at an annual rate of 3-5 lbs. actual N per 1,000 sq.ft.
Always read and follow the instructions on your fertilizer packaging.
Application of fertilizer is discouraged during the summer months.
Summer fertilization of tall fescue generally increases the incidence of
both brown patch and pythium blight turf diseases.
